Mommy's Marathon Tuesday!!

So...Mom had this bright idea to take us to the Reuben H Fleet
science museum at Balboa Park. They have free Tuesdays the
first Tuesday of each month. We were there before it opened
and enjoying ourselves with about five other kids, but by
the time we left there were hundreds of people crammed in
there! All in all we had a great time...playing with the grocery
carts and the conveyor belt, the xylophone, a phone booth, in a
climbing house...the place was great! Mommy got only ucky
pictures though, because the lighting was so bad, so you can
view our experience in the collage at the bottom. My favorite
pic is this one, which was one of the few that turned out well
that morning:

Then mom decided to take us along for the trip to the Del
Mar Post Office, which happens to be within walking
distance to the beach and our favorite cliff-top
ocean-overlooking park! We had a looooooooong day but it
was a blast and mom got some great pics! Enjoy!

Winnie The Pooh and Halloween, too!!!!

We LOVED Halloween, especially the part about meeting up with Grandpa and Peg and hookin' mom and dad up with some free candy! Mom agonized over what to dress us up as, and finally decided on Pooh's Hunny Pot (scored with Auntie Suzanne at the swap meet), and then of course Pooh ('cause you can't have the Hunny pot without the Pooh Bear!!). Drew's costume was a bit large, but very, very cute..it showed off his plump phisique. I was nice and warm in my costume, though I might have been more comfortable if it wasn't 80 degrees outside!
But I digress...So mom and dad were contemplating their trick-or-treat destination when a new listing came up for a house they really liked. (We're NOT posting a picture because that seems to jinx everything...). So when their wonderful realtor suggested we go see it on Halloween, we thought it would be perfect to go celebrate the holiday in a very old neighborhood with lots of spooky (though nicely kept) old houses! So, like I said, we met up with Pop and Peg and ate pizza at Filippes, re-parked a few blocks away, and walked down historic Juniper street in Escondido. We showed off our duds to some nice neighbors, and ended at our prospective house. Mom and dad were able to see what it would be like in that area at night (no streetlights! but very safe feeling) and were very pleased. They're so adventageous! Way to multi-task mom and dad! So without further ado, here are your gushing opportunities...

Our first experience with pumpkin goo...

Hopefully you could follow the cuteness, 'cause mom couldn't change the format to write between the pictures (something fishy is going on)...So yes we're stinking cute, and no, we're not planning on wearing those costumes again any time soon. Hopefully mom will pick something less bulky next year...Love, Jake

We're ONE!!! Wahoo!!!

Mom and Dad survived a whole year!! Just kidding, we are the best babies ever! Our latest updates: we love chasing the vacuum, Andrew has almost 10 teeth! (3 of which are molars!), we can both walk like champs, and we can say: mama, dad, hi, all done, and other ramblings. We had soo much fun at our party and we thank everyone for coming and for our awesome presents! An extra thanks for coming to our dedication, it was very special and important to us!

Here are some pics thanks to Uncle Stevie (who shares Drew's birthday!!..no Steve, he does not share your name as well...)

Mom played with some black and white effects for this one...

We LOVE our Grammie Emma! Sh'e our only great Grandma!

Hey daddy! We love you!!

Mommy spend countless hours on this cake...She grumbled something about not doing this again until we turn ten...Hope not!

Our first cake!! Yum!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

"I cannot endure to waste anything as precious as autumn sunshine by staying in the house. So I spend almost all the daylight hours in the open air."
Hawthorne said that, and we agree! This is the BEST time of year and we celebrated by taking the annual trip to Bates Nut Farm. Mommy grew up coming here and wanted to continue the tradition. We slept most of the way, thanks in part to our fabulous new car seats! Thank you all for the wonderful presents and amazingly generous gifts, mom and dad were able to afford these awesome car seats because of you!!

Here's what we think of them

And here are some great shots of us with our friends at Bates! (Thanks to Aunt Sarah for our super cute shirts..our rocker friend Matthew was quite interested in getting one for himself..)

We're on the far right...looking the wrong direction...
That was fun!!

Mom just had to share these...

Nana hand-picked wild blueberries for us on her vacation to Oregon over the summer...so mom decided to put them to good use in a blueberry/blackberry/peach pie! Besides the edge not turning out so great, it looked cute, and tasted soo yummy! Thanks Nana!

Mom let us play outside yesterday, thankfully we have a big grassy area to explore! This is just before I discovered that leaves are tasty!! ..and momma got really grabby and mad..

Drew hasn't been feeling so well these last few days..so while he took a nap I TP'd myself (with paper towels..so I guess it's more like PP'd..haha that's funny..) with a bit of help from mom. We had a blast!

Thanks for stopping by!! Jakers
